 Dr Martin Barnes, CBE, is the President of the Association for Project Management and Originator of the New Engineering Contract (NEC). Martin invented the classic Time/Cost/Quality triangle and a number of other project management techniques over the years. He led the team that developed the New Engineering Contract (NEC), a system of contracts designed to facilitate and stimulate the use of modern project management across all the contributors to a project.

 Andrew Baird is a member of the NEC Panel now responsible for drafting of the NEC system of contracts and was the co-founder and first chairman of the SA Division of the NEC Users Group. Dr Ron Watermeyer is an international expert in construction procurement and is currently developing a series of international standards for construction procurement.
